Recently, some lucky and artistic MVM 8th graders got to spend the morning in Great Barrington on Main Street, painting their pictures for the Halloween festivities in town. This is a yearly event, in fact, it's happened for over 30 years. Mrs. Malone -Smith, the MVM art teacher, asked students to submit a sample of what they would like to create for Main Street. Then she reviewed the entries and chose the ones to be painted and displayed on store windows. On October 22, students from MV and Monument Mountain took their artwork to the town to complete the final versions, which are now decorating the shop windows.
