I hope you got a chance to try the bands I had recommended last time, and liked the songs. This time I will give you 3 new bands that I am sure you will like.
The Talking Heads were formed in 1975 in New York City and active until 1991. The band was composed of David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison. Their biggest hits include “Psycho Killer”, in 1977, “Wild, Wild Life”, in 1986, and “Burning down the house” in 1982. The Talking Heads helped pioneer New Wave music by incorporating punk, art rock, funk, and world music into their songs. Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth married in 1977. Tears For Fears was a band formed in in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. Their most well known songs include “Head Over Heels” from 1986, “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”, from 1985, and “Shout” from 1984. Tears for Fears was part of “The second british invasion” in the 80’s. The Police was formed in London in 1977 and playing until 1984. The band broke up and reformed two years later in 1986. After a long break, the band reformed for a reunion tour in 2007 and 2008. Their biggest hits are “Don’t Stand So Close to me”, written in 1980, “Message in a Bottle”, released in 1979, and “Every Little Thing she Does is Magic” written in 1981. The Police were part of the british new wave scene, and played rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz. I hope you will get to try out these bands, and I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.
