At the beginning of every school year, a group of students have to deal with the transition between sixth and seventh grade. This year it just so happened to be me and my friends. Contrary to what you might think, sixth and seventh grade is not just separated by a floor. When you walk up the stairwell to second floor, a lot of things change. The teachers treat us more like a high school student, the homework loads becomes heavy, the schedule changes, and so much more. It may only be the third week of school but I can already tell the difference between the two grades, and the pros and cons of each. In the seventh grade a pro is you might notice is the independence level. Upstairs you are expected to be responsible and solve problems on your own. Whereas in the sixth grade the teachers will be there with you every step of the way. So far my favorite thing is taking a language.
